Fun Fact Friday.

Hey people. It's Friday.

You know what that means...FUN FACT FRIDAY

Thrilling, isn't it?

Here are the rules (after last week I feel like you all need a refresher)...if you leave a comment it need to either be a fun fact, a compliment to me, or both. Your fact can be about yourself, but it must be true.

Now let's get this party started.

Has anyone ever been to North Dakota? Probably not. I mean, why would you? The night life?

Because I hate for any state to go unappreciated, today's fun fact comes to you on behalf of North Dakota:

Milk is the official state beverage of North Dakota.

Happy Weekending!

I have, in fact, been to North Dakota. And they do have a rockin' night life.

Now I know that I could never be a true North Dakota-ian. (Dakotan? Dakota-ite? Whatever.) I am lactose intolerant. FUN FACT! Or... unfortunate fact, really. Because I didn't use to be.

Supposedly, the most ticklish spot on your body is the roof of your mouth. I still don't believe it.

They must get pretty crazy up in ND if milk is their state beverage.

I could not find one for Tennessee so I am declaring Jack Daniels as our official state beverage. Take that milk!

I don't live in ND but near it...They have nothing to do but drink in the winter, its cold. So their nightlife isn't half bad.
I googled "random facts" and found some wedding ones and figured it was appropriate given your post a couple days ago...
Fun Fact:
“Three times a bridesmaid, never a bride” dates to about the sixteenth century. It was believed that if young maiden who had been a bridesmaid three times was unable to catch the eye of unmarried males, then she never would. But, if she served seven times as a bridesmaid, the spell was broken and the woman was thought to be a sure bet for marriage.

I should totally move there, since all I have been drinking is milk!! hahaha xxooo

Interesting... because for many years I have firmly believed North Dakota to be a "fake" state that we've just been "told" existed. Now that I know that they have an official beverage though, I might have to reevaluate this. And BTW, I think milk is totally gross as a beverage.

Complete fail on my first comment - I could never follow directions well.

On average, a 4-year-old child asks 437 questions a day.

And people wonder why I do not have children yet.....

Your foot is the same size as the length of your wrist to your elbow. Go ahead put your foot on your arm and measure. It's true! Mine fits perfectly and yes I checked before posting this.

I am a ND native - born and raised, though I don't like milk and had no clue it was the state beverage, I would have guessed beer!

Another ND fun fact - Jamestown, ND is home to the largest buffalo - 26 ft high, 46 feet long, and 60 tons - don't worry it is a monument :-)

i did a fact check on clemson girl's fact because i was wondering. my foot is NOT the same size. my foot is smaller.

my forearm is 8.5 inches and my foot is 7.5 inches (i wear a 6 in women's shoes). what does this say about me?

I was born in North Dakota and lived there until I was 9. My grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins still live there so I go back quite frequently to visit. Did you also know that there is a town in North Dakota that is the geographic center of North America?

Fun!

I've been there. Low cost of living, cheap land and clean air/water are the main attractions I guess.
